In 1st college year we were assigned to do four posters based on movies of our favorite directors, and since I'm a great fan of Ghibli movies, I've chosen Hayao Miyazaki and four of his movies I'm particularly fond of. Those are: Castle in the sky, Spirited away, Kiki's delivery service and Princess Mononoke. First I did sketch on paper and then made vector version in Illustrator, and then I added details in Photoshop with sketchy brushes. Posters are imagined to stand on their own, but to look connected and unified if placed together beside one another. Each main character holds something shiny representing motive essential to the story - Sheeta a medallion, Chihiro a shoe, Kiki a star before herself representing chasing of her dreams of becoming true witch, and Mononoke carried glowing head of the Forest God.
